Skippack Village is a quaint, small town in Montgomery
County, whose walkable main street, restaurants, and boutique shops make it a
popular destination for an afternoon or evening out.
Located about ten minutes from the Lansdale exit of the PA
Turnpike’s Northeast Extension, Skippack Village is part of Skippack Township. Homes in Skippack Township are in the
Perkiomen Valley School District and have either a Collegeville, Schwenksville,
or Harleysville mailing address.
Although Skippack Township has many newer homes, historic
homes can also be found, and parts of the township have retained their rural
feel. During the last six months, the
average price of a single home in the township was $410,477. The average price of a townhouse during the
same period was $341,864.
Skippack residents looking for outdoor recreation can enjoy
picnicking, fishing, and hiking in Evansburg State Park, which runs through
part of the township. For a scenic ride,
cyclists can take the Skippack Trail northwest and connect to the Perkiomen
Trail, then head north toward Green Lane or south toward Oaks and the Schuylkill River Trail. Skippack is also close to the Spring
Mountain ski trails.
Skippack Pike (Route 73) runs through the center of Skippack
Village. Skippack is also close to
Routes 113, 29, and 363 and is within commuting distance to pharmaceutical
offices in Lansdale and Collegeville, as well as to businesses in King of
Prussia and Blue Bell.
