Located in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, Collegeville is a
great place to live! Ursinus College’s campus is in the center of town, and small
businesses and restaurants line the main street. The Providence Town Center, a popular
outdoor shopping destination just outside of town, offers a large variety of
stores and restaurants, including Wegmans, an independent bookstore, and the
Movie Tavern.
Housing in the Collegeville area
varies widely and offers something for everyone. Buyers can find small townhomes,
quaint single homes, spacious upscale townhomes, and large single homes on
spacious lots. Many homes with a Collegeville
mailing address are in the Perkiomen Valley school district, but some are in the
Spring-Ford or Methacton district.
For outdoor activities, residents have access to the local trail
system, Valley Forge Park, and Evansburg State Park. The Perkiomen Trail runs
through Collegeville and is used by cyclists, walkers, and runners. Heading
north, the Perkiomen Trail runs along the Perkiomen Creek and up to
Schwenksville and Green Lane. Heading south, the trail extends through Oaks,
where cyclists can pick up the Schuylkill River Trail and continue past Conshohocken and into
Philadelphia.
Collegeville is home to Pfizer and GlaxoSmithKline pharmaceutical
offices, and many other companies are within commuting distance, including Merck
in West Point and businesses in King of Prussia and the Great Valley corporate
center.
