Are you looking for a walkable town with parks, restaurants, and shopping? If so, consider Lansdale Borough in Montgomery County. Incorporated in 1872, Lansdale has retained its small-town feel but offers amenities important for today’s lifestyle.

Businesses and restaurants line Main and Broad Streets, and the town has several public parks, two pools, and a library, YMCA, and train station. The town offers other attractions as well:the Festival of the Arts, Whites Road Park Concert Series, and Lansdale Farmer’s Market.

Lansdale is part of the North Penn School District, one of the larger districts in the area. Surrounding the town are several suburban townships—Montgomery, Hatfield, Towamencin, and Upper Gwynedd—which are also part of the North Penn district.

Which Areas are Close By?

Lansdale is just a few minutes from Merck’s West Point pharmaceutical site and is also within commuting distance to businesses in Collegeville, Horsham, Fort Washington, and Blue Bell. If you commute to Philadelphia or just like to visit the city, you can get there by train. Lansdale’s train station is on SEPTA’s Lansdale/Doylestown line.

Major roads close to Lansdale include Route 202, Route 309, and the Northeast Extension of the PA Turnpike. In good traffic, it’s about a 50-minute drive to the Philadelphia International Airport and about an hour drive north to Allentown.
