Skippack Township in Montgomery County has much to offer and
is a great place to buy a home! Located about ten minutes from the PA Turnpike’s
Lansdale exit, the township is home to Skippack Village—a quaint, small town whose
walkable main street, restaurants, and boutiques make it a popular destination.
Although Skippack Township has many newer homes, historic
homes can also be found, and parts of the township have retained their rural
feel. Homes in Skippack Township are
in the Perkiomen Valley School District and have either a Collegeville,
Schwenksville, or Harleysville mailing address.
During the last four months, the average price of a single home in Skippack
Township was $516,962. During the same
period, the average price for attached housing (townhomes, twins, and condos) was
$296,656.
Skippack residents looking for outdoor recreation can enjoy
picnicking, fishing, and hiking in Evansburg State Park, which runs through
part of the township. For a scenic ride,
cyclists can take the Skippack Trail northwest and connect to the Perkiomen
Trail, then head north toward Green Lane or south toward Oaks and the Schuylkill River Trail. Skippack is also close to the Spring
Mountain ski trails.
Skippack Pike (Route 73) runs through the center of Skippack
Village. Skippack is also close to
Routes 113, 29, and 363 and is within commuting distance to pharmaceutical
offices in Lansdale and Collegeville, as well as to businesses in King of
Prussia and Blue Bell.
